Most of us talk about what we want, but we don’t spend much time each day imagining the things we desire. When we do use our imaginations, it’s usually to re-live painful past experiences or picture all the unpleasant things that could happen to us. Your imagination is your #1 superpower. It’s your most precious ability. And it's barely being used. As you know by now, the thoughts you choose to think each day create your personal reality. Your thoughts and feelings in this moment are creating your future tomorrow, next week, next year. How you’re choosing to use your powers of … [Read more...]
You are the creator of your own life experience. Your thoughts create your reality. You are who you think you are, and your life is what you think it to be.
I talk about it in every workshop. I mention it in almost every article I write. And over the years, my students have learned that it’s the answer to 80% of the questions I ask them. Intention. I’m beginning to think this could be the most important word in human language. Intention, or the lack of it, is at the core of everything you experience. You essentially have two choices in life. Either you set clear intentions about the reality you want to create for yourself, or you allow your life to unfold chaotically. For example, what happens when you don’t set a clear intent … [Read more...]
I had big plans for the end of 2017. I also had ambitious plans for how I would start the New Year. And nothing unfolded the way I imagined. I’m still trying to find the rhythm of 2018. Maybe you’re feeling the same way. Here’s what happened… For the winter solstice Mamiko and I traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii to connect with the Goddess energy there. On the ancient volcanoes, I told my higher self, my guides, and the Lemurian Fire Goddess Pelekino’ahane, I was ready to move to a new level. My prayers were answered, but not as I expected. One thing I’ve learned on my … [Read more...]
The Universe works according to very simple principles. You get what you think about. Whatever you put out comes back to you. It’s all about vibration and magnetism. Like attracts like. If you felt passionate and confident that you were ready for a career change, the Universe would start showing you a path forward. In this scenario, you'd be aligned vibrationally with your desire. However, you cannot attract something into your life when you’re not a vibrational match. It doesn’t matter how badly you want it, you cannot suddenly manifest a huge amount of money, for example, if … [Read more...]
During this time of year, we usually begin to feel the change of seasons. Most people return to their routines of work or school. But something else makes the 9th month unique. According to Lemurian numerology, the number “9” carries the energy of completion. It indicates the end of experiences, processes, and cycles. However, we know there’s never truly an “end.” The completion of any phase or cycle always heralds the beginning of a new one. Why should you care about completion? Your higher self loves you unconditionally. It wants to give you as many good things as possible. However, you … [Read more...]
“If only I had started doing yoga ten years ago, I would feel so much better about myself today.” “I should have learned how to touch-type in high school. Now it’s too late.” Have you ever had thoughts like this? Most of us do occasionally. We look into the past with regret. We wish we had had enough foresight or will power back in the past so that our lives would be easier or more joyful today. When I catch myself thinking it’s too late to start something new or wondering if I’m too old, I remember an old Chinese proverb: “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The … [Read more...]
I hurt my wrist doing a handstand in yoga class. That was four months ago, and I haven’t been back to a yoga class since then. It’s still a little painful when I put pressure on my wrist. Even yesterday morning, when I was doing some yoga stretching at home, I told myself it had been four months and my wrist was still bothering me. Why wasn’t it healing faster? I even rehearsed in my head what I would say to the yoga instructor next time I went to class. “I hurt my wrist a few months ago and I’m still . . . .” Wait a minute! What was I doing? I realized I had been … [Read more...]
