As I was coming out of sleep-state this morning, I heard a faint echo in my mind.
Happiness is a choice.
I’m so glad my higher self (or one of my loving spirit guides) chose to plant that seed so it would be the first thing I thought about.
Because I needed the reminder.
All too often, it’s easy for me to get caught up in my to-do list for the day. Or to look at something and focus only on the tiny 1% that isn’t pleasing or perfect.
Happiness is an everyday choice. I really needed to hear that again.
Most of us are raised in a belief system that says if you work really hard, if you sacrifice, and if you do the right things (especially the things we tell you to do), then you’ll be happy.
It turns out none of that is true.
If you want to experience happiness in your life, you need to choose it.
Making the choice to be happy comes before the actual happiness.
Happiness is a choice, day by day, moment by moment. The choice comes first, then the manifestation. The intention leads to the outcome.
I wanted to share this today because I’m probably not the only one who needs this gentle reminder.
Life doesn’t happen to you.
Life is created from you.
Your choices create your life.
You can choose to be happy. You can do it. You can make that choice.
And the choice is only a thought away…
Hi David. Happiness is indeed a choice.
