What am I doing here?

The other day, before I could begin my morning spiritual routine, some uncomfortable thoughts floated into my awareness.

What am I doing here?
Why am I still here?
What am I actually doing in this life?

Ugh. After all these years of spiritual growth, are these thoughts still hanging around in my consciousness?

I’m sure you’ve had these kinds of thoughts, too. They’re unsettling. And certainly not the best way to start the day.

Rather than indulging in this line of thinking and attracting more negative thoughts and allowing myself to spiral, I took some simple action.

I focused on my heart and slowed my breathing down in order to calm and center myself. After a minute, I set my intent to connect with my higher self.

“What’s my job? What am I doing here?” I asked.

The answer came before I could finish thinking the question.

The word “job” is not something we would have chosen, yet we understand your intent. Your only job is to be your Self… to be who you truly are… to be the bright light you came here to be. That is all.

I love how the higher self communicates with the human self: simply, lovingly and ever-so-clearly.

I feel my higher self’s answer could be a valid message to anyone, to everyone… to you.

In fact in my client sessions this is often the kind of reassuring message I receive from clients’ higher selves to share with them.

So please accept the answer I received as yours, as if you had asked your own higher self the same questions.

Be your true Self. You are enough. You are worthy. And you are more capable and powerful than you know.

Just relax and BE. That is all.
