You can’t think about something and make it go away. It won’t happen. Ever.
Like it or not, the more we give our attention to something, the more we attract and manifest and perpetuate whatever we’re thinking about.
That’s how this Universe works. That’s what the Law of Attraction is all about.
Donald Trump became president of the United States because hundreds of millions of people around the world were having thoughts about him every day for more than a year. He was a lead topic of media coverage on TV, online and in print nearly every day.
Of course he became president. More people in more nations were thinking about him—either positively and negatively—than humans had ever before focused thought on a single individual.
The more you think about something, the more you manifest that something.
Likewise, the new coronavirus is spreading internationally because so many people are thinking and talking about it constantly. The media promote their stories about it all day long. I hear people talking about it in restaurants and supermarkets.
I even got an email from my bank about it.
Of course this virus spreading quickly. Hundreds of millions of humans are giving their emotionally-charged attention to it daily. They’re watching programs about it, reading articles about it, talking about it.
People everywhere are making themselves worried and anxious. You can feel the fear rising worldwide.
So, as awakening beings on a spiritual path, what can we do to help ease the spiral of fear?
I feel it’s our responsibility to take a step back and take a larger view of what’s going on in the world.
We need to remind ourselves that everything is always working out for the highest good of everyone. Always. No exceptions.
We need to breathe deeply, center ourselves and trust the process of life. We must remember that each person is creating their personal reality according to the thoughts they choose to think.
And we always have a choice. We can choose either love or fear. We can choose to contribute positively or negatively to mass consciousness.
If you’re looking to assist your sisters and brothers around the world during this season of fear, here are a few practical steps you can take in a positive direction. (It’s all about you, by the way.)
Think about other things.
Make the decision to stop giving your attention to that fearful subject that’s been capturing everyone else’s attention. Distract yourself. Practice focusing on all the things that are going well in your life and in the world. Practice writing lists of things you appreciate.
Stop watching or reading the news.
The news media tends to focus on the worst 1% of what’s going on in the world. And practically none of that information has any direct impact on your life. Ignore the news. The Universe will guide you to whatever you need to know (and when you need to know it).
Keep your vibration high.
Meditate. Relax. Breathe deeply. Drink plenty of fresh water. Get out into Nature and recharge your batteries. Mamiko and I went for a long walk in our local botanical garden yesterday and I felt immediate improvement in my mental, emotional and physical state.
Radiate love and light out into the world.
If you want to help others, the best thing you can do is focus on keeping your own thoughts and emotions as positive as possible. However, if you feel the urge to do something more, you can radiate love and light from your heart center out into the world.
Be careful with your intention, however. Don’t send light with the intention of eradicating or fixing anything. That’s just another way of adding thought energy to the problem. Instead, send out waves of love and compassion. Send light with the intention that everyone finds their own path to joy, fulfillment and optimum health. In your imagination, picture the planet and all living things filled with bright, white light.
Even without the looming possibility of a global crisis, these are all valuable daily practices.
Remind yourself that all is well. You are the sole creator of your life experience. And your higher self is always guiding you along the best path. Relax, stay grounded, and trust that divine light within you.
Many thanks for these ways of dealing with what is going on at the moment David.
You are very welcome, John. I’m glad you’re able to apply what you’ve learned!
