I talk about it in every workshop. I mention it in almost every article I write. And over the years, my students have learned that it’s the answer to 80% of the questions I ask them. Intention. I’m beginning to think this could be the most important word in human language. Intention, or the lack of it, is at the core of everything you experience. You essentially have two choices in life. Either you set clear intentions about the reality you want to create for yourself, or you allow your life to unfold chaotically. For example, what happens when you don’t set a clear intent … [Read more...]
You are the creator of your own life experience. Your thoughts create your reality. You are who you think you are, and your life is what you think it to be.
I had big plans for the end of 2017. I also had ambitious plans for how I would start the New Year. And nothing unfolded the way I imagined. I’m still trying to find the rhythm of 2018. Maybe you’re feeling the same way. Here’s what happened… For the winter solstice Mamiko and I traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii to connect with the Goddess energy there. On the ancient volcanoes, I told my higher self, my guides, and the Lemurian Fire Goddess Pelekino’ahane, I was ready to move to a new level. My prayers were answered, but not as I expected. One thing I’ve learned on my … [Read more...]
The Universe works according to very simple principles. You get what you think about. Whatever you put out comes back to you. It’s all about vibration and magnetism. Like attracts like. If you felt passionate and confident that you were ready for a career change, the Universe would start showing you a path forward. In this scenario, you'd be aligned vibrationally with your desire. However, you cannot attract something into your life when you’re not a vibrational match. It doesn’t matter how badly you want it, you cannot suddenly manifest a huge amount of money, for example, if … [Read more...]
“If only I had started doing yoga ten years ago, I would feel so much better about myself today.” “I should have learned how to touch-type in high school. Now it’s too late.” Have you ever had thoughts like this? Most of us do occasionally. We look into the past with regret. We wish we had had enough foresight or will power back in the past so that our lives would be easier or more joyful today. When I catch myself thinking it’s too late to start something new or wondering if I’m too old, I remember an old Chinese proverb: “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The … [Read more...]
I hurt my wrist doing a handstand in yoga class. That was four months ago, and I haven’t been back to a yoga class since then. It’s still a little painful when I put pressure on my wrist. Even yesterday morning, when I was doing some yoga stretching at home, I told myself it had been four months and my wrist was still bothering me. Why wasn’t it healing faster? I even rehearsed in my head what I would say to the yoga instructor next time I went to class. “I hurt my wrist a few months ago and I’m still . . . .” Wait a minute! What was I doing? I realized I had been … [Read more...]
The first full moon of 2017 is here, and it’s a good time to think about abundance. There’s a simple law of the universe: The more we appreciate what we have, the more the Universe manifests things for us to appreciate. Here is my prayer for the full moon this week. Dear higher self, Mother Goddess and Goddesses of the Moon, At this time of the full moon, I give thanks for all the comfort and abundance I have experienced so far this year. I pray that with each full moon cycle, I become more aware of the abundances in my life, and I find new ways of expressing gratitude for all … [Read more...]
According to Lemurian numerology, 2017 is the beginning of a new 9-year cycle. It's kind of a big deal because your intentions and how you focus your energy in 2017 will determine much of your life's journey for the next nine years. So, how are you preparing for the new energy of 2017? Today, I did a short meditation and then spent some time writing down all the things I wanted to accomplish and experience next year. It felt great picturing myself doing new things, feeling more creative, and experiencing more joy and abundance. As I wrote down my desires, I felt the presence of my … [Read more...]
